DONATE BLOOD SAVE LIFE

On my fourth visit to Mongar Regional Refferal Hospital, i was visiting the blood bank section where the donation of blood take place. Turning onto left, i find a white synthetic cloth on the wall with slogans and addresses written. Peeking deep and reading through, there are lot more slogans"donate n save life" i will give u life if u need, i would die for you rather than not giving blood to u, i am O+ve please contact 17692994 if you need any help, i m B+ve contact, I am AB+ and the list just goes on but there was a slogan which said " i will not donate blood BUT" the sentence was incomplete. I dont know what really did that mean.

The next was we collected some number from the list and their names. One of my friend calls the number and at the other end a man replies, " i am A+ve and will come after few minutes if u need" and hangup the call only to hear "the number you are calling is switched off, please try again later". We call another number and it replies "the number you have dialled doesnot exists, please check the number and dial again". There were lots of contact number and blood groups given but we could get none.
It was my friends who donated the blood at last and hey friends you have saved one life and you will be always remembered.

TSAWAI LAM

H.E Kuenzang Tenpai Gyeltshen or popularly known as H.E. Gyeltshen Trulku was born to a humble couple near Chorten Kora in Trashiyangtse,Eastern Bhutan, in the year 1953. When he was about five or six years old, both his parents left the world and he had to be left to the care of his not-so kind relatives.

When Gyeltsen Trulku was nine years old, Lam Sonam Zangpo from Kurtoe, Lhuntse Dzongkhag had a vision in his meditation (showing the direction, locating the place –saying such type of place, Ri (mountain), near that type of Shing (tree), Dho (stone), river, etc…) and recognized as the incarnation of “Thrulzhi Lam Gyeltshen or Gyeltshen Marpa” by H.E Lam Sonam Zangpo and was installed as the incarnation to the seat of his predecessor.

For the last twenty three years (Age 34-57), he has been constantly helping the needy and directing those deserving and interested to embark on the path of enlightenment.

Meditation centres and Monasteries founded by His Eminence are:

Chang Gidaphu Lhakhar Chetshog in Thimphu, Minjay Dharchen Gonpa in Lhuntse, Tsanphu meditation centre, Larjap Drakhar Choeling meditation centre, Thangrong Khadam Gonpa Monastery, Khurizampa Ngadrak Institute in Mongar, Jashar woong meditation center,Jashar woong Anee monastery in Pemagatshel, Bikhar Goenpa Meditation centre,Khapti Goenpa meditation centre,Gongthung meditation centre,Kangpar Lamay Goenpa meditation centre, Khapti Goenpa monastery and,Kangpar Lamai Goenpa monastery in Tashigang, Baney Goenpa meditation centre, Baney Goenpa monastery In Trashiyangtse and now the CBDT is under the guidance of His Eminence.

In December,2009 His Eminence received the orange scarf with white lining from His Holiness the Je Khenpo in recognition of his success in East and here onto announced as " DRUPDHEY KHA GI UULA".

Being a follower of His Eminence and being blessed is something I never dreamt of. Being with His Eminence is something we would never forget and learning the lessons in Sharshop, Dzongkhag and Kurtoep make more understanding.

DO I DESERVE TO BE WITH THEM

During my days at IMS, Olakha I met with so many new friends. And one was Mr. Cheki Dorji who never shuts his mouth like a shooting diarrhea and I bet girls not to stay with him or else you would get old very soon with wrinkles due to huge laughs. At first he was to become a MD of cheki multi-studio at Thimphu which never got setup. Soon the presentation day and everyone was taken by surprise that MD of cheki multi-studio turned to become a Restaurant owner at Nganlam. Then he would never stop chewing Dhoma and sing like Samsung super singer in the class but found out that he would never be able to sing with tracks.
Another friend of mine, Mrs. Pema Zangmo who will be soon catering and owning a Dream Garden Restaurant at Kawajangsa is a mother of two and would never stop talking offsets and entertain. Sometimes she would call me for a lift from her place to class. With a huge smile on her face she never was bored. And despite her talkative nature the owner of Sonam Kid Care Centre, Mrs. Sonam Choden would accompany her and support her which in relation they were cousins.
Next, Mr. SonamZangpo, who is going to setup a tour agent for foreigner and in-country agays and angays is a man with hopes and inspiration who has dreamt his future and started to work on that. He would be accompanied by Mr. Gyembo Dorji, a graduate whose dreams are to become a businessman and with a project of setting up Organic Farm for the benefit of people of Bhutan. He is so silent that every boy and girl hesitates to talk to him. He never talks and never breaks the law but soon or later after having Three to Four Pegs of Special Courier (Brandy Whisky) his speech flows like a river.
How can we forget Mr. Karma Choidup, a businessman who is a contractor and now hoping to serve Bhutan and its people with motor car water servicing at Olakha. Named him as Rangthang, he never talks in English and he would never leave his beloved three friends sitting near to him. Always with a smile on his face most of the times he turns up late in the class. And late during our dinner it was him who never left getting attracted towards SANTABARBARA (port wine) where he was trying for the first time. Accompanying him was Mrs. Kinley Om, going to be the owner of Beauty parlor and SPA. And her friend Mrs. Wangdi Bidha who wants to start a Tailoring at thimphu. Wangdi Bidha never drinks wine but she would never leave her friends. It was her who was sitting idle with drunker till 11.30PM.
Then there is Mr. Amit Jasai who is also a graduate and at present who is going to start a partnership business of Floriculture and named it BBTECH. Being alone at home he never fails drinking after class and he has helped most of the trainees setting up and writing their plans. And I should call him my driving guide. It was he who guides me on the road where to turn and in which way to move. His business partner, Mrs. Wangmo who is also a graduate can be simply termed as ‘A girls of hidden talent’. With fluent English and spectacle she would deliver long entertaining speeches but I never knew that she would drink to her throat. A great dancer and with Spanish look she just keeps on filling up with wine and brandy. And at last it was Mr. Amit who had to reach her home safe.
Mrs. Deki Yangzom, who will own a Saloon at Paro town, is apple of most guys at IMS. At first she seemed to be so silent and simple. Mr. Tharka, MD of Jow Durshing(black mountain) Adventure was first to propose her but the time seems bad for him. Next Mr.Dechen Norbu, MD of SPA followed by TikaRam, Cheki Dorji, Rinchen and many. I would just go on teasing her with our instructors falling in love with her. Mrs. Deki would turn up with Apple MAC laptop on her table and NOKIA E81 mobile phone letting friends fall for her without herself being unnoticed. She is another singer who can sing to track and entertain with a clear childish voice but she never quits drinking.
And so called Mr. Dechen Norbu, who will soon be the owner and MD of SPA at thimphu is serious and damn super girls killer. For him its just come and go for money and girls. From no where he would start dialling a number and start proposing in calls and yet he is so lucky that everytime he dials the number it always is a spinster ready to mingle. He would carry a Fujitsu laptop full of trojan and bkk virus in that and he has distributed all the virus to IMS team and lab. This is the way he thanks his friends and remember. Mr. Tharka, presently working at Namgay Heritage and going to be MD of M/s Jow Durshing (Black Mountain) speaks Japanese, Italian, French, German, Hindi, Kheng, Bumthap, and lots to mention. Mr. Rinchen Dukpa who is a VTI graduate by profession will be soon seen at Thimphu with door to door service in electrical and electronics repair, petty contract and other sanitary works. He never talks and never fails to drink even during class hours. During presentation he already had 4pegs of Black mountain whiskey to get confidence while presenting. Bani Shankar, who is a taxi driver at present, is planning for poultry farm. He would pick and drop most of the classmates to the institute and home.
I have lots of friends to mention and list would just go on. Those were my friends who have touched me and love to be with them always.

Girls’ u better doesn’t fall for Him. He is our Instructor and married. Mr. Kezang Wangchuk Wangdi, who graduated from Sherubtse and at present a faculty of Institute for Management Studies is indeed a younger to me but has a thought, brain, knowledge far better than us. He is an instructor who can depend and frankly speak or ask. I thought he never minds but at onetime someone from class has told that he has a partiality and know what… he was even to reject the business plan. If it was me I would have kicked that person out of the class. Thanks that we never had that person in our class when it was about to end and thanks that Sir has more understanding and greater thoughts than them. I would grately apologize on behalf of the class and in our life it just happens unexpected. Mr. Kezang’s business rule of “Customers are always right” if customers are wrong refer rule no.1’ was the most touching and funniest law and that will be always remembered. During lunch and break time we used to order coffee, lunch and snacks for ourselves and billed upon us but it would be paid by Mr. Kelzang without our knowledge and we would just sneak out feeling uneasy to thank as we ordered a lot and billed him too much. Having an Instructor like our friend is something which we would have never deserved. We were very lucky to have him instructing us and sharing his time with us. If you want to be friend with him then please don’t forget to stock Tiger Beer ‘cause this is his Brand. It was one of the most remembered times with Mr.Kezang Wangchuk Wangdi. We wish you all the best in everything you do and hoping that you would keep the same spirit and let us feel proud that you have taught us and have lived our days happily with you.
I have met you, I have live with you, I have enjoyed with you and do always keep in touch. You all have made my days so interesting and proud to be your friend. Love you all.

Stay at Thimphu

Never thought I would be visiting back 'Gyelsa-Te'wa' but we cannot avoid being a capital of Bhutan and everything done at capital with Head offices. For me being from remote and coming to a place where people and traffic are new to me is a venture into new world.
On Friday 10th December,2010 my first visit to thimphu began where i had to call my friend to drive my car from Semtokha to ministry of labour and human resources only to find myself lost watching passerby and stuck with thoughts of driving in this city. I would be driving for atleast a month in this city alone and with conjested vehicle and people it would be a drivers worse nightmare and fright of driving into wrong direction and wrong place.

After my visit at MOLHR I am directed to go back to Institute of Management Studies at Olakha and now what!! Drive from MOLHR to Olakha without any knowledge where I am going and where that road leads to. Should have asked my friends to drive but all were busy in their office. I am forced to drive alone. By now I am following a taxi-wagonR down the road and into some parking area. The taxi stopped for parking and now i am alone again. Ok I giveup until someone turns up. So I too parked my car near a space next to taxi only to hear a traffic police blowing his whistle..." wai choe ya taxi inna?" I didnt understand what he meant to say but i simply pulled out my car and started following the car infront and now its time i call a guide for me. Dialled a number of my friend and now from the other end the first question is.... "Where are you?" where am i? what do I say? I dont know any place yet. Ok I am following a car and driving myself and dont know where I am at the moment. I just see one round about approaching near. The other end answers.. " Just drive towards you left".And soon I am on the main road leading me to Olakha and it almost took 1 hour to reach my class at Institute for Management and Studies and entered the class.
The Class has already started and everyone silently staring at me eagerly waiting to know who I was.

I had to stay with my friend at Taba and it was a long drive from Olakha to Home. Day by day my driving skills at Town increased and oncemore I reach the place where I followed a taxi. When I now look and recollect why a traffic police asked me if i were a taxi too, I had been following the taxi and when taxi parked in Taxi parking loat I too had parked my car in Taxi parking and that was the reason my traffic police blew his whistle.

A week passed and my first journey was towards RMA, where i went to meet one of my online friend Clumsy who boldly invited and took me to their canteen and served me. I was accompanying a friend incase i forget the road back. Soon as now I am perfect with Oneway, round about and parkings. I have no problem and just go on spending Five to Ten Ngeltrum a parking fee. Tell me to drive you around town and i am ready. Tell me to drop you to zangdopelri, kawajangsa, kalabazar, taba, dechenling, mutithang, swimming pool area or anywhere i am ready now.

A month class just passes by at IMS, olakha. At first everyone is in their own world with new faces and not having the guts to talk to each other or introduce. Day by day we become closer and know better. By the time we know each other its time for us to depart. With sad faces we are oncemore departing from new friends we never knew and wouldnt have known before attending the classes at IMS.
Out of 27 trainees, 15 of us are organising a dinner and vote of thanks to our superiors and instructors at Ugyen Hotel on 14th January,2011 and that night was a night to be remembered by all and so special and everybody would love to have the same chance again.

MR. KEZANG WANGCHUK WANGDI... Instructor for BEC.

MR. ROHIT, IT OF IMS.

MR. UGYEN, INSTRUCTOR AT IMS.
I personally thank these three faculty for their valuable time with us and being with us in every step we make. Without them the course would have been incomplete and have not been so successful. Thank you once again.

DRUGS n ME

During my primary education I used to hate people who smoke which also includes my parent where by they never were able to live happily without a pop of Beri, or Bandhar Surtii (A tobacco brand). They would always have a choice of brands. Didn't even think that one day I would be proving worse than they.

Marijuana was my first of type and my drug of choice. It started as just trying them out of curiosity to I cannot have a good time without them. Later I got myself upgraded to NO2 which is a inhalant and then how can I forget "DENDRITE" another inhalant. Or rather I would drink alcohol and then inhale to mix the effects of them to obtain a higher euphoric or normally termed as "getting High" or "Kick". At first it needed only some pops of marijuana to get me kicked or say three to four pops to get kicked by dendrite but gradually the kick time increases day by day. I used to have small blackouts and stop breathing for more than a few seconds. My family and friends have no idea of what I am up to or what really I am doing behind the curtains of my happy face and trying to be normal person as if nothing has happened. When sober, I feel anxious, the need to be alone and I avoid social interaction or public gathering as much as possible and that has still affected me. I don't even remember how I reach or attain classes and my looks betray. I used to feel so guilty, empty, powerless, pissed, and temptation of doing such to get high would help me. It would have been my own thought since then that drugging helps me feel happy and powerful not knowing that it's the brain being affected. Sometimes I would be trying Asprin or peracetamol before smoking marijuana to get myself high. Everyone did knew and do know that drugging is bad and cause lives but this has already overrun my life. Everyone is same. If something good happens we would be happy and love ourselves. If something bad happen it's only to be blamed GOD. Even my dreams were filled scoring dendrite and marijuana. If someone tries to stop me from my binging I used to become angry and convinced that they are jealous because they are not doing what I am doing. I don't know how many, but I did dragged lots of friend to drugging and some became more addicted than me. In studies I never failed but surely I did lost my ranks.

Within ourselves a ego would be developed. Thoughts come over that drugging is bad. Want to stop but the addiction never lets to. When I say addiction I wasn't one of those people who always ask for another cigarette every 5 minutes, I was one of those who had 2 or 3 a day or less.

Why drugs? When we have yet a long life to live and make a living worthwhile. After 5 years I could eventually stop drugging but stopping suddenly can even cause death. When our body gets adapted to a drugging environment, and changing the system cause madness and such a mess . I want to share some points what really it happens while drugging:-

Drugs usually attack the communication system of our brain. Drugs are chemicals. They disturb send, receive, and process information that a brain carry. Different drugs work differently.( A pain killer will stop or ease your pain because it starts blocking the passage of pain message sent through the nerves to the brain.) In fact, some drugs can change the brain in ways that last long after the person has stopped taking drugs, maybe even permanently. This is more likely when a drug is taken repeatedly.

Some drugs, such as marijuana and heroin, activate neurons because their chemical structure mimics that of a natural neurotransmitter. They actually change the way brain works. Wong information would be collected and sent to brain.

All drugs of abuse—nicotine, cocaine, marijuana, and others—affect the brain's "reward" circuit, which is part of the brain system. Normally, the reward circuit responds to pleasurable experiences, which creates feelings of pleasure, and tells the brain that this is something important—pay attention and remember it. Drugs hijack this system, This flood of dopamine is what causes the "high" or euphoria associated with drug abuse. ( I read those in one of the books… name forgot). Through my experience, A marijuana user may experience pleasant sensations, colors and sounds may seem more intense, and time appears to pass very slowly. The user's mouth feels dry, and he or she may suddenly become very hungry and thirsty. His or her hands may tremble and grow cold. The euphoria passes after awhile, and then the user may feel sleepy or depressed. Occasionally, marijuana use produces anxiety, fear, distrust, or panic." Within a few minutes after inhaling marijuana smoke, an individual's heart begins beating more rapidly, and blood vessels in the eyes expand, making the eyes look red. This effect can be greater if other drugs are taken with marijuana.

SAY NO TO DRUGS and never ever try even once.
